SHOW GARDENS
Designing a show stand at RHS Chelsea is a huge honour especially when it is on Main Avenue opposite some of the most prestigious designers and gardens in the world.
Sarah designed three, consecutive, award winning stands for David Harber’s sculptures, placing these beautiful pieces in real garden settings with a different theme each year. The first year a watery space with low pools and gravel garden planting; the second year multiple levels allowed for different styles of planting to be showcased and the third was a woodland setting densely planted with ferns, hostas and delicate perennials. She has since gone on to work with the Harbers on several projects.
In 2016 Sarah was commissioned by the Dutch paving company Schellevis to create a garden which would showcase their various concrete products. This was a fun space with giant cantilever steps and a raised octagonal terrace. Populated by the copper haired sculptures by artist Rachel Ducker and an orange themed planting.
These spaces demanded creativity, precision and efficient planning which has fed into all the private residential projects since.
