WOODLAND POND RENOVATION

BOARS HILL

I was given the wonderful opportunity to work on a beautiful, established, woodland garden on Boars Hill, Oxford.

The new owners were keen to completely renovate the existing pond which had become silted and stagnant.

With the expert help of Josh Jupp and his skilled team the whole area was drained, dredged and the clay base re-compacted. We then set to work creating new paths and mass planting the banks and bog areas.

The original owner had collected and planted many specimen Azalea which we were able to show case by clearing out a lot of the overgrown understory and using ground cover plants such as Epimedium and Vinca as well as a multitude of ferns and grasses in large swathes.

This project was created for Sarah Naybour Design Ltd by Sarah Naybour.
